eyes become matted real bad been two days now there is some redness around eyes and slightly swelled

..sounds like pink eye. It's a highly contagious bacterial infection that causes the eyes to swell, crust over, and be inflamed and red. They may weep and be infected looking in the inside corners. You can ease discomfort somewhat by holding warm,(not hot!) washrags to her eyes to help loosen the matts, but don't touch her eyes yourself unless you are careful to wash your hands good afterwards, or you'll all have it! Get her to the doc asap, (not emergency type, but if your peds ofc is open, or if you have exigent care around, go today) and they may give her antibiotics/drops for her eyes. It can be that the baby cough cold in the eyes, it is common when the baby is take outdoors when it is cold to get irretated eyes. It doesn't hurt but rather confirm by a doctor

It could be an infection or allergies. Best to have it checked by a doctor. Both my boys had this when they were babies and it wasn't serious but it did need medical treatment.

The other thought is he could have bad eye allergies. See a Dr.

Take the baby to the doctor.. It could be conjunctivitis or a bad allergy to something..
