How do I split My hard Drive to get faster downloads,etc..

Splitting your hard drive into different patritions does not make downloads faster. That's your internet connection and bandwith you have.

You can download software from download.com that may help you. Just enter the keywords on the search.

I don't recommend it if your main concern is dowloads. Just doesn't have significant impact.

Splitting (partitioning) your hard drive would have no impact. You still have the same read-write heads.

More so than that, the speed bottleneck is likely to be you internet connection speed, and the slowest link in the chain from the source to you. If you are downloading from a computer connected to the net by a dial up connection, it's going to be slow no matter what your connection speed is.

partitioning your hard drive into smaller partitions will not improve your download speed. Your download speed depends on your ISP and internet connection.

That won't make it any faster.

If you want to make a separate partition, use Partition Magic.
