Every morning when I come into work there have been mistakes made that cost the company money. Even though these mistakes are not made during my shift it is me that ends up paying for them. This job has ended up costing me more between paying for other peoples mistakes, daycare and gas than i even make in a week. I don't want to just quit but I don't know how to get thru to these people.

It sounds like you are being a scapegoat for some idiots mistakes. If I was you, I would ask to to your Line Manager and express your concerns like why are these mistakes constantly occuring and you are taking the blame for them, let your manager know that its getting down and you may have to consider leaving your job.

A good manager should be approachable, understanding and willing to help you through this. If the problem remains unsolved for say a month then leave. No job is worth the grief.

Start looking. Weigh the pros and cons of leaving your present job. If there are more cons, the move on. Don't quit until you have something else lined up. The employment prospects are pretty bleak right now.

Do what makes you happy. You only get one chance at life. Make the best of it.

If you're not making anything, then why bother with the worrying?

You need to start searching before they get rid of you. You don't want to have to tell future employers you were fired.
