Not a bull, a cow. Such as a Holstein...

Cows, like humans, can run at various speeds; meaning some are faster than others. Though I have never clocked one of our cows (we raise beef cattle, not dairy) I would guess they could run up to 15 or 20 mph, though they wouldn't run that fast for very long. They generally run fast enough to get away from something then either stop or just walk. The skinnier and younger they are the faster they can run, too. If I were a cow, I would be very slow! Hope this answers your question.

If it's scared, faster than I ever could, which prob means on the order of 25-30 mph.

But generally, a mature milking cow won't run, especially with a full udder; and when she does, she doesn't run very far.

More commonly, she'll break into a bit of a trot, perhaps 10-12 mph. I could keep up easily, at least I could 40 years ago.

The normal speed of a milking cow is pretty darn slow, about 1.1 m/sec or 4 k/hr = 2.5 mph.

Not sure if the cow was trying to run as fast as it could, but a cow chased me last night! I ran as fast as I could and stayed in front of it....for about 100-200 feet, then it stopped and hissed at me.

They don't really run do they? The just kind of saunter! We had beef cows and tried to chase them. They were not to fast!

Depends on the bull we can think up....
If a cow can jump over the moon, she must have had quite impressive 0 -100 acceleration to get a good start...?
