Sometimes, by the way we live, lack of sleep, poor eating choices, etc. Sometimes we're just hypochrondriacs stressed out for nothing. More often, it's not our fault. It's bacteria, diseases & hereditary.

Yes and no. Yes - lack of sleep, poor diet, lack of exercise, bad habits like drugs and alcohol, lack of hygiene - not washing hands and such, unclean homes - not washing kitchen counters after preparing raw meat and such, and so much more. No, we can not prevent all exposure to things out there. We can not live in a bubble. Living a healthy life and having all good habits and no bad habit (no one fits this 100% anyway) still would not stop all illnesses. It would lessen them but not stop them. Hope this helped.

No, not always. If you deliberately do something to yourself that affects your health - like drugs, drinking, poor diet, undue stress, then yes, you can make yourself ill.
