animals ahould be protected,as they are living creatures as well ,like humans and u see people starving and beoing murdered, so why not animals? hunting, im sortof against but if you hunt i tihnk it should be for food, not for fun. dogs in cities are ok, but its better to have small dogs that can fit easily an happily into an apartment. Humans shouldnt be brutellesly murderd and neither shoukld animals!!

Yes they should be protected. I am against hunting for sport, but hunting for survival is OK. The life of a stray dog is harsh, so they should be brought to a shelter where they could receive medical care and have a chance to be adopted. Of course they also have the opportunity to be put down, which is a down side. It is better than being out in the streets though, where they have to scavenge for food, are open to attack by humans, or other animals. People do some outrageously cruel things to animals (and other humans), and a stray dog is a perfect target for these people as they have no one looking for them.

most problems animals have is becuase of humans....
hunting for food is ok infact those animals shot have had far better lives than those cattle in feedlots or battery hens.. so if you hunt and eat your kill then thats better and kinder to animals as a whole rather than buying some dead animal that suffered a terrible boring life.... hunting for sport (eg. to get a kill and have a trophy) is not right and just a sign of male bravado... a sign of low self esteme

the problem of dogs in the cities?? I dont know what you mean here? too many dogs? or barking or what? because dogs in the country have problems too, just you dont know about it.. infact the biggest problem is stupid city people who take unwanted pets and dump them (illegally) in the country - cats and dogs...

i don't think people should hunt as sport it's some i defiantly disagree with animals should be protected because their being killed to much to many.and the reason there r so many dogs in the city is because of abuse. if people help stop abuse towards animal then that problem wouldn't be as bad.

Many animals are protected under numerous laws. As far as hunting goes, it is only permitted to animals who are overpopulated. For instance, a hunter can kill a deer, but they will get arrested for killing a bald eagle, not only because it's our country bird, but because it is endangered. Hunters also have to have a special permit to participate in the sport. Dogs,(and cats), on the other hand, is a different story. People think that it's a waste of time to spay and neuter pets, but it really can save the lives of many.

Yes of course they should. As far as hunting for sport I am not crazy about but understand to keep the deer pop. in check it is a tolerated practice.
Dogs in cities...hmmm...we have a decent human society that has taken in 100's of dogs that were lost in the hurricane cities.
I live in Ohio and have heard that the puppy mills are out of control. I think that practice needs policed more closely. The abuse is horrific!

Yes, to a certain extent they should be protected. I have no problem hunting for food but if you think you're doing good by shooting 20 ducks from behind a blind then donating them to a homeless shelter forget it. I live in a rural area where deer season is eagerly looked on as a way to supplement food budget savings. Exotic animals as pets should be federally banned & ownership of cats & dogs should be severely regulated & overseen by animal control. But we (USA) can't protect our children so how can we be expected tp protect our animals?

I think they should be protected.

Because they deserve to live just as we do. God made them before he made us.

I don't see how people can go out and shoot poor, helpless animals. i mean,i know people need meat...but you can just go out buy soy meat from the store.it's tastes the same as regular meat. i'm not a vegitarian (i want to be) but i CAN'T kill an animal. not even a snake. i also refuse to eat any meat that one of my family members got by hunting.

i don't think having dogs in the city is a problem. as long as the owner treats the animal right,he won't harm a fly. the owner also has to make sure they walk their dog sa far away from the street as possible just to be safe that the dog doesn't get hit. keep doors and push out windows sealed. also, doggy doors aren't the best thing for dogs in the city.
