I recently found out that I'm pregnant and I'm due mid-January. I don't want to have the shower in December because everything is so busy with the Christmas season, right? So I was thinking in mid-November. Is that too early? What's the proper ettiquette as far as timing goes?

My son was born 1/20/06. I had my shower I week before Thanksgiving. Sounds early, I know. But it was before the holidays and before the cold hit. (i'm in nj) Things get crazy around holidays. People can't make it, they're broke, etc. Have it early. You'll have plenty of time to get things in order before that baby comes.

You can have a baby shower whenever you want. You could have one the day after christmas or the day before. If you feel like having one in november, Then have one in November! Im due on New Years Eve. I think I might have the baby shower Right after thanksgiving. I think its a perfect time because you have the no tax day right after Thanksgiving, so you might get more gifts. Good luck on your new baby!

When youre about 6 or 7 monthes pregnant because sometimes people go into labor early & you still have enough time to get everything set up for the baby.You might be due mid. January but what happens if you go into labor 5 wks. ahead youre not done setting up the baby's room.What will you do when you come home & you're not done with it's room.

I would say late October, 1st of November but to make things really cool maybe a Halloween baby shower where your guests show up in costumes and really make a party of it ! That way the dads of the other mothers would have to take their kids trick or treating.....lol

Most people have thier shower when they are about 7 months. November sounds good to me. Make sure dad has a diaper party also. {Dad throws a party and everyone has to bring a package of diapers to get into the party}

It's not really when the proper time is, it's when you want your baby shower. You don't have to go by when other people have there showers, go by when you want it to be and when your comfortable having it.

I had mine when I was 8 months..Makes more sense to celebrate a month before the baby comes and plus so everyone knows what u need and dont need.

Hello I think you should have a baby shower when you reach seven months because you know then you havent got lon to wait til you have your baby.
