Why does your choice of grammar matter? Well, you may be the nicest person in the world, but people will judge you based on how you use English. I know that's wrong, but it's the truth. Choosing to use poor grammar makes you sound uneducated. You may not get the jobs you want because of the way you are choosing to speak. You may not attract the kind of mate you want because of the way you speak. I'm really don't want to hurt your feelings. I'm sorry if I have.
Why do I care? I have my BA in English. (If you think grammar is difficult, you should try a college level grammar course. : P) I learned to write and speak properly. It has helped me in life. I think it could help you too.
Read some good books. Study. You can do it!

I'm from N. Mn. and I don't hear people up here talking like that. Not that all of them are concise with the English language. Some of them aren't even coherent. All people have their own way of talking and when someone talks differently, they have a hard time understanding since they close their mind. I just lean my head to one side and let people be people.
