Indeed science cannot say there are no ghosts with any scientific certainty. The Amityville case, however, was debunked.
Spirits can remain behind instead of "crossing over" for several reasons. Some are afraid to cross, some feel they have something they need to accomplish, some met a sudden or violent death they need to come to terms with....there are many, many reasons.
Most "ghost hunters" (i.e. people who are knowledgeable in this area) say that most ghosts are benevolent. However, if ghosts are the spirits of people who have passed, it stands to reason that they're not all good. Let's face it, not all people are harmless and good. Could a ghost really hurt you? I tend to doubt it, although I daresay they could probably give you quite a scare if they wished to. =)

Yes, they exist- we just don't really know what exactly they are.
As I see it there are 3 types of hauntings-
1. Spirit trapped on this plane-the traditional ghost
2. Psychic residue of an event- like a tape that plays again and again
3. A window into the past or future that we can see through
THEN there are poltergeists- which tend to be the only harmful manifestations. Most researchers think that poltergeist phenomena- throwing things, physical abuse- are manifestations of the energy of a young or teenaged girl in the household.
Poltergeists almost always manifest in such situations, and fade as the girl gets older. It's the personal energy that is out of control that causes poltergeist activity. I don't think they are true ghosts.

Yes there are ghosts and they wont harm u cause normally want a ghost is trying to say is the help me someone did this or did that trust me i live in a haunted house

It is scientifically proven that there are ghosts and other spirits. A ghost is some sort of entity that hasnt left because they had something they didnt finish here on earth. They cannot hurt you because they are in the spirtiual plain while you are on the physical plain. The olny time they can hurt you is when they are negative entities.

Yes there are ghosts. They are just lost souls stuck in between this world and the astral plane. No they do not and can not hurt you. If you are afraid and try to run away and fall down, then I guess that could hurt you.

science cant prove that ghosts dont exist..the 1st Amityville house horror movie is a documented occurance written up by the young priest and also the father ..there is too much that science cant explain and that has been researched over the years..some good and some bad

I don't think that they can harm anyone. I also believe that ghosts are not the "Souls" of dead people. They may be the "Spirit" of those who have departed. Think about it. Wouldn't that also explain Re-incarnation?

Yes there are and no not all of them will harm you. Be cautious as some can impersonate good beings though the majority of the time they are seeking you out for assistance.

In my opinion there are ghosts,science cannot explain everything.If you believe in ghost they exist to you,they are all around us passing us by..In my opinion ghost can harm us because of my family members expirience.
