The Hawaiian Honu (or Sea Turtle) can be seen in Hawaii zoos.

Hard exterior yet soft and mushy inside.
Appears to be slow; however, she's just not rushing through life.
A rare breed....so rare she's becoming endangered.
Loves the ocean, loves the tropics.....minds her own business.
Sea turtles have existed for over 100 million years showing they have strong ability to survive. And like a Sea Turtle, I keep on keeping on.......

The naked mole rat, I just came out of the shower. We have those at the Portland Zoo. My nine year-olds think they're neat. I would like to think that the river otter( it is kept in the northwest section with the beavers and bald eagles) describes me. They are playful, good parents, love to swim and slide down snowbanks, and they love to fish. They live in mostly wild areas, in beautiful treelined rivers and lakes. If not that, then a warthog. I could it grubs all day. Slimy but satisfying. Akumba Miata.

A sea otter!

Have you seen those guys? I could watch them for hours. They are so playful and seem so content no matter what the conditions may be. I love to swim and grew up in the water. To get to swim all day long at my leisure would be a dream come true. To float on my back while cracking oyster shells.......what delicacies I could enjoy!! To nuzzle with my family all sleeping in a sweet heap as I do now with my two girls flopped out on top of me as we lay on the sofa together. I've always loved the thought of being reincarnated as an animal. But as far as other choices..........there is no "otter!"

I once attended a seminar on surviving divorce. We did the usual blah blah blah stuff. But then everyone had to compare the others to an animal.
For some reason, quite a few picked me as a lioness.
I found that rather strange at first but on reflection, it would seem to fit.
Lioness calmly oversees her cubs and other lions. She hunts, she fights to protect her loved ones. She can be extremely fierce if required. But also loving and kind for her brood, as she licks their faces and lets the cubs play on her.
