Terrorist are homegrown and from abroad. Since Canadians don't run across the border typically like lawless thugs. It is probably easier to spot the problem people. I read recently Canada denied entry to Martha Stewart because she is a convicted felon. I don't think Canadian security is lacking any more so than our own. So the answer to your loaded question is no you can't prevent terrorist but yes canada has strong security.

After 9/11, I believe there has been greater or heightened security. I also think both countries have done a better job at hunting down terrorists in our own countries. Evidence would be the discovery of the tunnel system in BC and the recent arrests of 17 terrorist suspects in Toronto.

Its only strong enough to prevent hard working Mexicans from coming to America. I bet a terrorist can just waltz right on in.

We had better hope it is after the events of a week ago. I have had friends travel to Canada recently, and according to them, the security is tight.

No, I've been advocating two walls on each border since last December, but no one with any real power cares so. Especially with Canada's open immigration it is really worrisome.

None of our borders are secure.
even our waters aren't secure i.e. boat people.
and.....aren't some terrorists already here?
We have plenty of home growns!

No matter how stong it is at a border, there will always be people trying to beat the system.

I believe that it's the same problem we have at the Mexico boarder. It might be strong at the gates, but what about the open areas along the boarder?
