My internet connection has ceased to display the address bar at the top of the page. Can someone help.?

I'm running OS X G5 Apple

go to VIEW, which is at the top along with the FILE etc, and click on the first one: Tool Bar. Then click on Address Bar and if a check appears at the left, your address bar should pop up. I think.

this happened to me once,and it turned out to be a virus causing it
