I was going to say that it's due to the electromagnetic quantum periodicity effects of complex elecrical phenomena in conjunction with high speed organic neural forms, but having read others answers, i thought of something else:
When you're interested in something ,there are relatively few self reflective thoughts ( you are not so aware of yourself ).
At the end of the task,or during a pause, one looks back and asseses the time passed by the number of self aware moments that happened.
All time is only this memory of remembering oneself.
Real Time is always here and now ,and is more intense the less one thinks about the 'future' and the 'past'.
What this means is that you get very involved in the computer .

Goodness me! who's that cloudless cloud guy?!!!
He's been eating with the wrong side of the cutlery, i tell you!
But he kinda makes sense in the second paragraph even though the last paragraph would have been all that is needed.
Tp= Sqr root of {1/P X 2(Ra x [ Li - 1])} where P is constant. That is the reason why time flies.
Tp= perceiving of Time
P= Human Perception
Ra= Apparent Reaction
Li= Level of interest
you do the maths....

The apparent speed at which time seems to pass (S) is in inverse proportion to either your awareness of it (A), or your desire for it to pass quickly (D).
S = 1 divided by (A x D)
eg Standing at a bus-stop..., highly aware of time, highly desiring it to pass.... and it passes at the smallest possible speed.
eg Kissing your lover goodbye at the airport.... minimum desire for time to pass... and it passes at high speed.
eg Lost in painting or drawing a picture... minimal awareness of time... and it passes at high speed.
eg Playing your new computer game... low desire for time to pass PLUS being 'totally into' the game and unaware of time.... and dawn arrives before you even realise it has passed midnight!!! LOL
You get the idea?
However, there is another aspect to this, which involves the two differing sides of the brain. The right hand side, which controls language and sequential tasks has, of necessity, a strong sense of time, whereas the left side, which controls wholistic awareness and artistic expression has little to no sense of time. So the type of task involved will also affect your awareness of time passing.
Hope this helps!

Time is relative. When you're making out with your girl or boyfriend time seems to go fast, but while you're sitting in a boring class at school time seems to drag.

When your entertained you are not bored and time moves faster for your brain to cope with what you are doing.
It's like "oh I wanted my girl/boy-friend around longer than that".
It is so-o-o annoying.

Well i surpose it's because your having fun, time passes fast when your having fun, it's weird, i surpose its because you haveing a good time and you don't take any notice of the time, it's just mainly because your distracted from everything eles so it seems that time goes really fast.

It's relativity.
"Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity."
