Is there anything 100% safe anywhere?
The net was made as a way to get info. so to have things that are secure on it is sort of hard to do.
However s/w developement is getting better and things are very slowly becoming more secure, they just will never be 100% secure.
As for porn well it is a $$$$$$$$$$$$ business on the net so it has it's feelers in just about everything, personally I think porn is for those who are not satisfied at home.

With the exception of a select few (if I recall correctly, E-Harmony may be one of them), you are right. The vast majority of all dating sites are really porn sites, and you can create a free account, but you can't actually do anything with it and need to pay in order to communicate with other users. As for the rest of the web, you need to define "safe" before passing judgement.

The internet is a very dangerous place. Just expect the unexpected, even when you feel safe on the Internet, because you really never know what your doing, who your talking to, or anything! Even though something may feel safe, it might not be.

Sure, there are safe sites on the internet. Just use common sense. If you find one and it doesn't seem legit, don't use it. As in life, be cautious.
