It has been rumored that book seven will be released on July 7, 2007 (07.07.07), because seven is a powerfully magical number in the series. I think that would be incredible if it were, but it is unlikely because of the release date of the fifth Harry Potter movie. It is set for July 13, 2007. I don't see the book and the movie being released so close together. There would be a fight for publicity.
Bloomsbury co-founder Liz Calder (who publishes the British versions of the Potter books), recently said in an interview, "The next Harry Potter book is likely to come out in 2007. I hope so."
I also think it's safe to say that the book will release sometime in the summer. I think that Scholastic and Bloomsbury will make sure that kids will have enough time to devour the book. If it was during the school year, there might be some problems.

Her books are between 2 and 3 years apart. She says on her website that she is working hard on book 7. A July 7, 2007 release date has been speculated because it would be 7-7-07 for the 7th book and a Satuday in July (when her last 3 books have come out). However the fly in the ointment is the movie Harry Potter and the Order of the PHoenix. Warner Bros. has already announced a 7-15-07 premire date. That puts it a bit too close to the 7-7-07 guess. I hope as soon as possible!

It's been rumoured to be released on Saturday 7th July 07, but it hasn't been confirmed yet.

I can`t wait! But it should come out about August of next year because right now she is working on the sixth isn`t she?

I don't know but I can't wait. The only problem is that it will probably be the last one and I can't think what could possibly follow the series.

I'd take a guess at next summer, but that's only a guess. It's up to J.K.Rowling to finish it, and she's working on her own schedule.

I read somewhere that it would be around christmas next year (2007) though can't remember where I read that!
