Because when he did it the first time, you took his crap and now he feels he can and will do it whenever he pleases.
I know from experience, the yelling starts and then the hitting will follow. Granted it might take sometime, but you have allowed him to treat you how ever and so he feels no matter what he does you will take his crap.
I suggest to you, get out of the relationship and find someone who will respect you as a human being and not treat you like a dog. I bet if he has a dog it gets treated better than you?
He is a man on a power trip and it is time for the ride to end. That is just my opinion, but I have walked many miles in your shoes. I stuck it out for 7 yrs, hardest yrs of my life.
He has been through many relationship and married again. Still continues to yell and hit on women. Even was in a motorcycle accident and he still does it with one arm. So some guys will never change,

It is time to move on to someone else. Your bf really does not like you or he would not be shouting at you all the time. Do you shout at him? If so, then you need to stop also. The only thing that shouting does is makes it harder to hear. When someone shouts, the other person automatically closes up and will not listen to any one.

It means he doesn't love you, and he just wants to control you.
Dump him and go for someone else.
You might love him, but it will most likely advance from shouting to hitting.
That's abuse.
And it's not fun.
Dump him now before it gets too bad.

He's controlling you ... which leads to domestic violence, which could end up in a marriage that will no doubt lead to a divorce.
Don't matter who you are, how good or bad you look, how lonely you've been, he's an idiot and you can do better.

Sounds like he's an a**hole in total control of your relationship.
You should probably get out of it now, but you won't. You'll probably stay in it because you "love him"....things will not get better, you'll just learn to adapt. You should really consider just getting out of it and moving on to someone else who treats you better....

Maybe you did something wrong. But if he does that habitually, you should kick him on the curb! What the! Everyone deserves respect.

Because you let him. Leave the abusive ****** and find someone who will treat you with respect. Don't let anyone treat you that way.
