CA is soooo expensive. It's true. The housing prices are hyperinflated....as for job opportunities....it's hard to tell without knowing what your background is. CA is also overpopulated.
I'm a former CA girl.

Depending on your field, the Bay Area has a lot of jobs available...try searching under www.bajobs.com.

Do keep in mind that the Bay Area is the number 1 place for cost of living in regards to housing and taxes. You will definately not be able to own a home unless you are making very good money...the median home now costs ~715k in the Bay Area. If you are wanting to move for excitement and a very diverse area, then the Bay Area has a lot to offer. If you are wanting to own a home...it will be very unlikely.

Not if you don't want to pay $1900 a month for a studio apartment. The cost of living is three times that of Cleveland.
