I'm composing one for my HSC, it's a fairly mournful one in C# minor, in a Chopin-esque style, and I can't think of a good name for it. Any ideas?

Just "Nocturne".

If you put a descriptive title, it would limit the piece's emotionality, because the listener would only try to hear how the music depicts the title, and not what the music itself is saying.

Nocturne is descriptive enough anyway.

Moonlight, Moon Shadow, Selene (or Selena), Sea of Tranquility, Foggy Night - that's all I can think of right now. Good luck with the piece!
