Well they are an openly gay band named after a lesbian sex position. You do the math.

Whats wrong with the scissor sisters? I am more interested in the quality of the music rather than the name of the band.

no it's not.....try to listen to there songs, he might be more into their music than into the lyrics....
around that age, they are just about to become teenagers..they start acting a little strange and to parents horrific.....don't worry about it....instead of going against it.....buy him and album for the group and tell him that since he liked the group you thought of getting him the album.
This way, he won't really hesitate to tell you about other things that go in his life.......Parents at that age should really learn to be friends with their children....honestly will shed a light to you about what's goin on in your son's life, and he'll feel accepted and appreciated, leading to less harm during this stage.......
Good luck

isn't that there base anyway? having said that i like them and i'm 22 they don't strike me as a band that would mainly attract older people.

Why would it be?

Like who you like, if anybody disagrees, stick the finger up to them.
They can't change your opinions because otherwise you wouldn't be individual.
