No, not yet, but I think they are starting to get used to the idea, after all, they are debating on should gays marry, people are just sceptical of the unknown.

Expected? No more than one expects murders, child abuse, rapes, assaults, winning the lottery, finding the love of their life, etc, etc. Life is life and it is what it is. Many things happen that we may or may not like, but I can't say that something is expected.
