1 gallon of milk weighs more than 1 gallon of cream

I would say it would depend on the container. Lets say that the milk can in a plastic container and the cream came in a paper container the paper would weigh less. Also when I think back to my visits to my grandma house she used to ask us to take the milk can to the next door neighbour to get the milk when we got back to the house the cream would alway rise to the top. Possible that the milk is heavier.

The milk weighs more. Cream floats in milk, so that means it weighs less.
I could reel off stuff about density and the like, but it's too late.

i'd say probably the gallon of cream -- since cream is more dense than milk. even if they have the same volume, the one with greater density will have a greater mass/weight.

mass = density x volume

since cream has more fat content than milk and since fat is less dense than water, I'd say that a gallon of cream weighs slightly less than a gallon of milk.

Milk!
TO prove it to yourself, mix milk and cream. Wait a little and you will see the cream on the top! Why? Because the cream is lighter!

Dear Charlie,

Your question is like this:

Is one Kg of Iron heavier than one Kg of feather?
And the answer is as clear as crystal clear water:
No difference,One Kg equal one Kg !!!!

Or this question:
Which one will be boiled faster?1 egg or 6 eggs.

And the answer is clear again.Water will boil in 100 Degrees of Celsius so no difference that how many eggs will boil in the water.

Best Regards...Iranian Bobby

gallon of milk weighs more.both have same volume,but density of milk is greater.hence mass of a gallon of milk is greater(mass =density *volume)
weight = mass* gravitational acceleratio(g).
since g is same for both,weight of milk is more
