Thats a fab song, you seem a little concerned at liking this song? dont, its normal and healthy to have a wide ranging taste in music, I certainly do. I like some hip hop, rap, heavy metal, indie, infact anything, even some jazz.

First off, its Lighter Shade of Pale.
You like it because it was a finely crafted song with excellent lyrics that you just cant find anymore.

It is a classic track and has been covered by a variety of people. Recently I picked up a live version of it by Thin Lizzy.
Not one of my favourites but still very good.
