I live in Texas and out side my house is this plant that just grows. I have noticed that when we get lots of rain it grows like wild fire! It looks like a Mimosa Tree, but it doesn't have any pink blooms. I have seen several others around the neighborhood but some have blooms and others don't. Does Mimosa grow really fast and tall? The leaves are almost like palm trees. The apartment complex cuts them back every year down to the ground but they always grow back really big by the Fall. In the Fall the leaves turn brown and fall off and your just left with bare branches.

Thanks!

Ask the guy that cuts them back. I'm not familiar with trees from that area. Only one I know of is a Mesquite.
