angels and demon is much better and understandable than da vinci code.. plus, it's more logic and scientific.. if u want to start reading dan brown, start with angels and demons..

it's so good i wonder how did he get the idea of writing it..

da vinci code plunges too deep into the religion elements that it's hard to concentrate but angels and demons makes you gasp, stare wide-eyed and slap your forehead with its intelligence..

i love angels and demons more than da vinci code for sure although the everybody else is hunting for da vinci code.. if angels and demons is turned into a movie, i'll be the happiest

It's not, which is the best, because Andels and Demons comes first than the code, and some parts of the code are related to angels and demons, so it'b better to analyze it as a story divided into 2.

Aren't they essentially the same book?
A&D made use of the Illuminati, in a laughable manner - laughable that is to anyone who's read and enjoyed Shea & Wilson's Illuminatus! trilogy.
DVC is too clever for its own good, and too dependant on other people's ideas to be truly convincing as a novel.
The DaVinci code i marginally the better of the two, in that its essentially a complex retelling of the same story over again.
Incidentally, since there were no back references to A&D in the movie, then they could make A&D as a sequel rather than a prequel.

read the Da Vinci Code - and could not put it down - loved it...eagerly set out to buy Angels and Demons - settled down to read and gave up out of sheer boredom at about chapter 6. It was like trying to walk through treacle...slow, mundane and very unenjoyable

angels and deamons came first meaning that Da Vinci wouldnt have occured without it.

Both are formulaic chase thrillers with a small amount of historical information to trick readers into thinking they are reading something profound and not just a cheap airport novel.
