What does he enjoy doing with his time off? What will make him feel like a kid again? At 50, you want to feel as though you still have some youth left in you!

Even if he's a couch potato, he might enjoy something like learning to race a car (there are places all over the country, sign up for only a day or a weekend) or send him to a fantasy sports camp. Does he have a male friend he would enjoy going with? A weekend away with just a guy friend could make him very happy.

Or buy him season tickets to his favorite sporting event (two to each event, so he can invite a friend if you don't like to attend one).

Celebrate together with romantic dining at home or out, then surprise him and have tickets presented to him on a dessert plate. You can arrange this with the restaurant when you get there.

I think everyone loves a special trip somewhere. Why not take a 1 or 2 day honeymoon like trip to a local resort. Enjoy the time with your hubby, pampering him and paying attention to his every whim and desire. I am sure that will go over well with him, and be a wonderful surprise.
Good luck and blessings!

Sounds like mine.....I've found that giving him a gift card to some Hardware store is his thing. Giving this man a vacation would be mute!

Why not give him yourself. Make reservations as some SMANCY motel....Jaccuzi in the room. Dress yourself up in something from Victoria Secret and Let yourself be his b-day gift!

We did a dinner cruise around the river. All his friends were invited, food, all you can drink, perfect weather. There are charter boats, big and small, that will do this. He did feel like a kid again!

A nice vacation, a good set of golf clubs, take him out for his favourite dinner...or a gift card to his favourite store and let him pick what he wants. That's what my wife does and it works out great!
