I usually figure it's homework (due the next morning!) when the first word of the ? is "HELP...."

Actually, most of them are not high school or college math, and therefore probably not high school or college math homework.

At least one percent of them are 1+1=?

ya,u r absolutely right.......nearly ninety percent of the questions in this category are someone's homework ,otherwise people won't care about asking questions about maths

Eulercrosser -- you forgot "What is 0/0?", "How much wood...?", "Where is the missing dollar?", and "Look, I can prove 1=2 by dividing by 0!" questions.
