I know this post is old.... but I couldn't help but reading it all still and EVERY SINGLE RESPONSE was wrong in some aspect... holy cow.. women have a ton of power.... I see penises in movies ALL the time... however, I NEVER SEE vaginas.... boobs are not a big deal, most countries do not blur them out.... men are inferior, regardless of our leaders and business owners... basically, its okay to show a penis in a movie, but nooooo vaginas are sacred and soooo much better we can't show those... I have seen a million movies where dicks are flat out shown so visibly... maybe not hard... but still... I cant tHink of ONE SINNGLE DAMN MOVIE WHERE A VAGINA IS SHOW VISIBLY.... because vaginas are seen as better and more "sacred" or whatever... dicks are ugly so it doesnt matter, right?

Some people have the impression all females have the "perfect body" and it is usually that body type which is shown naked or nearly naked. However I guess they realize that all men are not "perfect" body types and so only expose as much as the public and the laws allow.I often wonder how many people would watch movies if the loveand /or sexual partners were mature, greying and a few extra pounds. It is my belief that erotic films featuring an average and mature heterosexual or homosexual couple would not sell. I guess only the fit, the perfect and the beautiful have satisfying relationships.

that is one thing that annoys me too it's because men are shallow and have no moral standards to degrogate so looking at naked women on tv is there for their own dirty pleasure and women seem to be more reserved in what they really want we dont sit there and grow a few inches because we've seen some boobs or bum we would just be plesantly happy to see some hot stud parding around in the buff and people dont seem to think that thats what women want and aim it toward the male market

apparantly the male body is not attractive and its actuallty illegal to show erect penises on tv or so ive heard anyway.
also psycologically men are more visual than women- women like touch and smell and appreciate it more than men, so men love looking at naked women. i read that in a barbara n allan pease book.
Also i have always wondered that if a woman has her boobs out on tv they will blur over her nipples, but male nipples are not blurred- they look almost the same whats the big deal?
i do think its outrageous how many women are in magazines barely clothed it shows lack of self respect.

1. Because even now there are more men than women in charge of making movies and editing magazines and 'news'papers. Previously they were ALL male. Even when there's a woman in charge these days, they know they'll lose their job if they lose the 'pervy' clientele... (sensible people either ignore that stuff, or don't buy the paper / watch the film in the first place!)
2. Men (even in these days of pseudo 'equality') have more earning power than women. More cash in hand = more cash to SPEND! And money is the name of the game...
3. Men (those 'superior' beings... HA!!) often don't LIKE seeing naked men ... that's why the rare times you do see a naked man in a movie he's usually only showing his bum! In fact, quite recently, a British art museum (or studio, can't remember which, but I think it was in London,) had a portrait of a full-length male nude on prominent display near the door. Several 'men' complained about that - on the grounds that WOMEN would be offended!!! NO women complained however!! Not surprising, as the 'portrait' was so badly painted that NOTHING could be seen that might offend anyone!! AND, when it was taken down because of the complaints, GUESS what replaced it??! That's right!! A FEMALE nude full-length portrait...!! HYPOCRITES!!
But this whole situation is the legacy of the 'freedom' and 'equality' palaver that was biggest in the 60's & 70's (and still going on) ... it was 'supposed' to be 'freedom' for women if they took off their clothes to give men erections! It was also supposed to be more 'manly' for a man to LOOK at those pornographic images, and the more he made vulgar noises (such as 'Corrrrr!! Look at THOSE!!') then the more 'manly' he considered himself to be!
Movie & TV show directors, and newspaper & magazine editors, considered it a personal challenge to show as much bare female flesh as they could get past the censors! And after something had been shown ONE time, it was no longer considered 'outrageous' by the censors, and so they didn't NEED to object to it!
Members of the public who dared to complain were labelled as 'frigid' or 'spoilsports'. Even one person's complaint can theoretically cause an advert, for example, to be removed from our screens ... but if the complaint is about female nudity it's extremely unlikely to succeed, even if loads of people complain!
But over more recent years these weirdoes have gone one step further - not only by showing ever more explicit things, even when they KNOW there will definitely be children watching/reading - but they've been spreading the notion that women LIKE to see other women naked! That's why in movies they have females in the audiences of strip-clubs, and why in dirty magazines for men they try to get the women involved too - even if it's simply by getting the 'men' to take a photo of their naked 'woman' and send it in to be printed in the magazine! And that policy seems to be working, even if only on a small scale, because there actually are a few women now who ARE prepared to read 'girly mags', or go to a strip club to watch WOMEN! And they're not just lesbians either..! The policy of corruption is working.

Because we live in a sexist society where images of naked women have become just another consumer item or commodity for men to possess, acquire and drool over. eg display on factory walls, and thereby harass women who work there.
You can compare this to the primitive cave paintings of the early cavemen, in which pictures of boars and other prey that they hunted were displayed.
Men are predators, women are their prey and displaying pictures of their prey serves an identical function, to whet the appetite for the next hunt and chase.

SO are you saying you would buy a magazine because there's some male penis photos in it?
If you say no to this then you've answered your own question.

I think the woman has always been about the 'body' when looking back in history. It is more accepted for a woman to be naked in art forms (even movies) than women.
But I'm not sure what you're talking about. Do you mean the women are topless or completely naked. Men are always acting in movies and posing in magazines without their shirts on. It's the same for women.

Women are more attractive to everybody than men are. I mean, how many people want to see a man naked? Not many, because they are generally more ugly. A similar thing happens in movies. If they show a naked woman, women will tolerate while men will see the movie repeatedly for the nudity. If there is just a naked man, women won't care and men will be repelled.
