Yesterday was poor even England will admit it but we can still go on to win it we just need to find the right dtyle of play. At the moment we're just getting started well thinking positivley we are anyway.

That referee's decisions were questionable to say the least two yellows for barely passable tackles and it was obvious that Paraquay were diving. During the second half, one of them was tackled started getting up when he saw their striker hitting it at the net and went back down again trying to get a penalty when everyone had seen him start to get up and go down again when they missed.

Most of the ref's decisions were beneficial to the Paraquayians and alot weren't towards England.

But a win is a win no matter how shaky or boring the match was. Those 3 points were useful especially with the goalless draw between Sweden and Trinidad and Tobago. It means were up on points and goal difference.

Come on England!

Some would still but i think it is time they realised that the coach (sven) and his tactics just do not work. They have never played well under him. On paper the side looks good but the tactics just dont match up. There is a huge gap in the midfield because Gerrad and Lampard are use to going forward and thereby giving the defence no1 to pass to as no1 comes back to collect the ball and build it up. So they revert back to english normal LONG ball. No point in watching them (and yes i do support them)

the English men have always felt they they deserve and will win every world cup since 1966... thats their patriotism and love for the game... but then u also need to be in terms with the reality and the reality is they got a good team but not a champion team.

No i dont think they will win this world cup.

They need to lift. Getting used to the new ball will take some time. Yesterday's performance was not one of a team touted as potential winners.

They can do much better than that.

3 points is always handy nonetheless.

the perfformance was shocking in the second half. What happens if crouch picks up another yellow the he will miss a game, and we have no back up for him. Owen is looking very ordinary, Sven is going to regret not picking an extra striker. What the hell is hargreaves in the squad for. I think the only reason he their is he speaks fluent German and he is their as svens translater.
Argentina looked awesome, I dont see them beating the argies, who they meet in the 1/4s or semis.

England were never going to win the cup. They might as well enjoy themselves before they go home to face the humilation of thier fans.

Early days chic! Many a world cup has been won by a team who lost their opening match, never mind win it! (Albeit looking like a pub side!).
