I've been to Ohrid lake and it's lovely, you are right it has so meny things to offer... We've been situated at Struga so we went often to Ohrid, Sveti Naum is great, the lake itself is gorgeous, we even had an action of cleaning a part of the coast (since it was a gathering of students that study environment protection)... But I can tell you one thing why some people from around here (Serbia) don't want to go to Ohrid lake: they think it's not safe! Sorry but that's the truth, most of our student excursions were to Ohrid this year but some universities didn't let their students come because they thought it's not safe... We didn't have any problems, but as you probably know yourself, it's hard to convince people once they've made their mind...
But that concerns only us, people from other countries shouldn't even potentially have such problems...
And, actually, I would be very sad to hear Ohrid is a famous destination since it has beautiful nature (and Galicica is so near by) and a large number of tourists has its downsides... Maybe a famous Eco-tourism attraction? Now that sounds much better...

Definitely!
Ohrid is a beautiful place!
I think that if the local establishments and government cooperate with some Greek agencies, all will profit!
Greeks are into tourism business and love their neighbors, especially the ones who related by blood! Away from international political games!
1 + 1 = 2+
100% of nothing is much less than 30% of something!

Hi Petar...
Yeah, I think Ohridsko jezero can become an interesting place for tourists to visit it. But, as you may already know, in our country everything requires money, therefore a large amount of it should be invested in a project to improve the very lake and the surroundings. Also, it requires building several hotel complex...
Just look at Croatia and their income of money just from tourism-9 mill euros.... And they are doing everything possible to increase it. Now, when Montenegro has (finally) "left" Serbia, I think more ppl will be interested in Ohrid.
Yeah, in about 10 years, someone might come...
Pozdrav!

there are this variety of super style of places i opt to work out, yet i'm with you on Branson and Vegas, i'd desire to care much less approximately traveling the two of them (no longer so particular i'd call Branson a nicely easy return and forth destiniation although). I disagree with you on France, Africa and India (been to France and prefer it, been to Egypt too and had a brilliant time, would opt to circulate to three different places in Africa, like Tanzania, Botswana, Gabon, Morocco and India is on my record too). different places that do purely no longer sound that interesting: Cancun, Dubai, Quebec, Williamsburg, Liverpool...

unfortunately, i've never been there, but my friends say it's a beautiful place. in order to become popular you have to invest a lot of money on propaganda, ads and in fascilities.
