yes, yes and NO. Due to low concentration of oxygen in our lung blood, oxygen passes thru thin cell walls into blood. Due to higher concentration of Carbon Dioxide in our blood, it passes into the air in our lungs and is expelled. Each exhale has less oxygen and more carbon dioxide than the inhale breath.
However, there is still plenty of oxygen left, not all passes into our blood. That is why mouth to mouth resuscitation works. Plenty of oxygen in our exhaled breath to help with someone Else's inhaled breath.

Yes, we breathe in air which is mixture of gases. Our lungs do not contain any sort of filters to separate the gases as this is hard phenomenon done only at low temperatures. Our body only uses oxygen which dissolves in blood and binds to the hemoglobin in the red blood cells. Certainly not all the oxygen we breathe in gets used up and is released with carbon dioxide and other gases when we exhale.

Hi,
Yeah all of the gases in the atmosphere do enter the lungs & it is the job of the lungs (alveoli especially) to isolate the oxygen it requires & reject the others. Ther is no oxygen that escapes the lungs however. Losses are indeed there in any transaction so I guess you can attribute these to them but consider them as negligible in this case because nature has been such a better engineer than any of us. Sorry if I sound unprofessional. I am basically a Civil engineer so...

yes because nose can only filter the dust and other micro - organisms, not the gases. if it were not so then we would not have died in a room filled with CO and would have separated the oxygen only leaving carbon. So we take in all the gases present in the atmosphere,

Yes, we do inhale air. But, because of partial pressure in our lungs(Henry's Law) our blood cells ony accept oxygen and give out carbon-dioxide.

yes all of the gas. they reach our lung. that's why you can be dead if you smell poisonous gas.
in normal inhale, our lung will absorb the oxygen, and release out carbon dioxide and other gas during the ex-hale.
