You're listening to the vocal liberals here. (Ain't freedom grand?)

Can you imagine the noise they would have made after June 6, 1944?

You do need some facts. Here's a few facts for you.

1. Bin Laden DID bring his type of warfare to the US, it's called 9/11

2. The US did take the war to Iraq

3. Bin Laden is NOT IN IRAQ!

4. Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11

5. Bin Laden is still alive and laughing at us for expending all our resources in Iraq.

That is why people are upset with bush.

Iraq never had any connection with bin Laden, at least not before we invaded. Saddam Hussein was a secular nationalist who rejected the Islamic Revolution... bin Laden hated Hussein almost as much as he hates the US, and Hussein felt the same about him. Hussein believed in religious tolerance, which pissed off everyone else. We're talking about the most "Western" country in the Middle East aside from Lebanon. What other leader in that region wears suits and ties instead of traditional Arab garments? Who else refers to Machiavelli instead of the Koran? Hussein was a dictator, no doubt about it, but he was as filthy to an Islamic extremist as any Yankee. What your husband should be asking himself is why we armed Hussein to the teeth in the 80s - those are the weapons he used for the crimes he's currently on trial for. He hasn't changed in 30 years. Well, I take that back... he's been on pretty good behavior since Kuwait... probably the most well-behaved dictator on the planet.

Nobody is upset with Bush for going into Afghanistan, and nobody is upset with Bush for demaning bin Laden's head on a pike... but you can't just go around preemptively invading countries that have no connection to terrorism just because you don't like them and you need a scapegoat.

It was in every way as illegal an act as any war can be.

A free Iraq is a terrorist worst nightmare. There way of life would be unatainable. Thats why they are sending insurgents from all parts of the globe to get us out of there. They know another strike in the USA now would only strengthen our resolve to fight harder. LOL funny how Bin-Laden offered up a truce if we vacated Iraq. they're way of life and inhumanities are over. Its just a matter of time.

If you didn't keep interfering with the internal affairs of other countries and generally invading whenever you feel like it, there wouldn't be a terrorist threat.

If you keep kicking a sleeping dog, it's going to turn around and bite you
