i am a white girl and i have a black boyfriend but i have lost my children from making a decision to leave my ex because he assaulted in view of my children. i live alone but visit my boyfriend quite often (maybe we are seeing too much of each other) my ex has prevented my youngest child from living or seeing me.whilst i respect her decision (she is 14) is it not normal for her to want to see me and think to herself that what i have done was for my own safety not because i have run off with a black man.i cannot comprehend how she could witness her dad assaulting me and then she does not get in contact with me

mixed relationships so work, its not about the colour its about how well suited the couple are, love knows no colour and you cant choose who you fall in love with,

I see a lot of fear, hate, rejection etc. these are called 'toxic' emotions. I don't know what your financial stituation is or what services are avialible to you but what would be great is to have a mediator firstly between you and your ex, for the sake of your children. Put them first, that is must important, think about the needs of your children i.e. the love of both parents, for that reason you need to talk, through a mediator to your ex and act civally to each other at least in front of them. DO NOT speak badly of your ex in front if the children, this is bad for your children, try and be the mature one in the relationship.
Try and get access to family services, and use whatever assistance they can give.

regardless of the rest of your circumstances, yes relationships of all sorts work. I don't really understand the "mixed" part though, you are both human, right? so where is the mixture in that. if you stated he was a black stallion, i might be a little apprehensive, but since both of you are human.... i will venture to say things will be fine.

yes mixed relationships do work but in your case you also have your children to think about as well as your happiness.
I hope everything works out for you.
