sociologists say man is a social animal, but is love real, can we survive in this world simply on our own?

isn't this entire gamut of human relationships the basic cause of all our miseries and frustations,love and hate, sex and desire, faith and deceit, friendship and enemity, animals don't have emotions, but they seem to have much more true attachment, like dogs and horses may be? can we not revert allthis sentimental nonsense to pure physicality, straightforwardness, and a simple give and take to make our lives much more simpler and easy to lead peacefully? i don't think there is something like selfless love or affection, haven't you heard the story from Panchtantra about a female monkey, who finally sttod upon her offsprings, when the water in the tank was beyond her nostrils, and she couldn't breathe?

But those emotions are just the end results of human interaction. The complexity or details of interaction lie in the interaction process itself which could be simplified by honesty and a win-win mentality which will avoid all the negative emotions in the two parties.

To me love is real if that person is your ally. And since we are social animals,we are inclined to choose allies to ensure our survival and to reproduce.
