Keep yourself busy. Try to spend time doing something fun, with your friends. Talk with people who can comfort you and make you feel secure, like your parents and loved ones.
Try to think about things that you should be thinking about. Try thinking about good things. Don't tell yourself what you should not be thinking about, tell yourself what you should be thinking about.
Try breathing techniques, and try to keep calm. One breathing technique is to inhale with your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Another thing that I would suggest is watch "Full House". It makes you feel safe and loved. (well at least most episodes)
If you can keep yourself occupied and thinking good thoughts for a while, the bad thoughts will eventually fade away.

Watch funny movies. Read funny stuff. That will put you in a better mood after awhile.
Ride a bike, swim, do some physical activity. That will make your brain make endorphins. They help you feel better and think better.
Get a hobby that makes you concentrate. That will give your mind a break from the other stuff you've been thinking of.
Talk to a pastor or an adult you trust. You'll feel better just for getting it out.
It'll be OK.

This is a good news/bad news situation. The bad news is that these kind of movies hurt your brain. At 13, you are still growing emotionally and learning about reality and fantasy (life vs. movies). The good news is that you are old enough to make decisions about what you like and dislike. By now, you have a really good idea of what foods you don't like and what clothes you don't like. Now, you can also decide not to watch that type of movie anymore. As you reach adulthood, you can revisit these decisions again from time to time.

Worrying about your loved ones is a normal part of life. Having unpleasant thoughts is pretty common. Some people make the mistake of believing that having a bad thought makes it more likely to happen. Simply not true! Thinking about things doesn't magically make them happen. Many people find it helpful to just accept their thoughts and let them pass. Keep in mind that thoughts are really harmless by themselves.

Well I use to watch a scary movie and i kept on thinking really gross and bad thoughts so I forgot the whole thing because I did something else that made me forgot what I was really thinking of. Maybe try a hobby that will make you forgot about it.

You mentioned an idle mind. Most likely, you should keep your thoughts occupied with something else.
If this has been happening a lot, maybe you should talk to your parents and see a doctor. This could be a sign of something serious.

As a child, it is easy to feel fear over those type of things. It is a fear of the unknown and a helplessness because you are only 13. Prayer is great! And it does work...And don't watch those type of movies that might make you feel that way!
