I am going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I want to get my belly pierced before then. I know it takes months for the area to heal, but how long does it LOOK like you just got it done?

What are you planning on doing on vacation? If you are going to the beach and plan on swimming or getting sandy/sweaty, plan to do the peircing when you get home and can take very good care of it. The peircing is very vunerable in the first month and can get terribly infected. Cleaning a belly button peircing requires access to a sink 3-4 times daily and will be irritated round the clock my sweat, touching, and rubbing against clothes. The red will go away in a few days, but that doesn't mean you should ever at any cost slow with your cleaning. I always tell people to keep cleaning their belly buttons often and until they can pull and twist the peircing without any *ANY* pain or skin irritation. I also tell them to only touch them when cleaning them so that there is little risk of infection. My advice is to just wait until after vacation so that you can avoid high-risk situations.

It depends on how quick it heals or if you get a slight infection. Me and my sister had it done at the same time.
Mine looked fine in 2 days but my sisters took months and looked red and angry,

You'd be better off waiting until you got home. These piercings take time and care to get healed.

depends if you use medicine to clear it up... if you realli dont want it to look that bad , on the days that u r gonna show it, use makeup liquid waterproof foundation to cover the redness-- do not let the foundation get into tha opening tho. thurr are lots of medicines you can use to reduce redness. just make sure to keep the wound clean
