Wow, what a great team they would have made! But if you look at the times, and the ignorance and bigotry that were still so much a part of our social make-up, it wouldn't have been possible. JFK made a GENIUS choice in picking LBJ as his running mate in the election of 1960, because if he hadn't, the south would have abandoned him! And it is my belief that he would have stuck with Johnson for a second term. The way you phrased the question, it sounds as though JFK would win, and THEN pick his V.P., but that's not how it works...but I know what you meant!
What an interesting question, but it would have unfortunately been a pipe dream!

For political reasons i believe he would have stuck with LBJ as Vice President.
But how about Dr. King as Secretary of State? That has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

I don't think anyone can answer that question, as it never happened. We cannot predict what could not, and did not happen.
