There are so many people working at so many different places that have access to the data sent back by the rovers that I don't see any way that NASA or the FED could keep a lid on some 'secret' discovery....plus what motive could they possibly have for keeping something like that secret.... trust me if some geek at the JPL stumbles across a photo of a Martian life form it will probably be posted on the Internet before you could say 'classified'.

If they'd found positive proof of life on Mars - We'd have heard about it...This would potentially allow NASA access to Billions more $$$ in Funding.

If anything, I could see them inventing signs of life!

No, there is no life on mars.. BUT.. don't you remember, they did find evidence of past organisms that lived there.. Thus, there might have been life there at one time but NOT NOW

HOW ABOUT THIS:NASA IS TRYING TO INCREASE THE FUNDING FROM CONGRESS BY SPOUTING BULL$**** LIKE THAT.AIN'T NO LIFE ON MARS!MAYBE A MILLION YEARS AGO,BUT AIN'T NOTHING NOW.MY GUESS IS THAT HUMANS WEREN'T BORN ON EARTH, THERE EXISTED A LIFEFORM ON MARS SIMILAR TO US, BUT DIED OUT WHEN THEIR ATMOSPHERE STAARTED TO BURN OUT.SO TO PROTECT THEIR CIVILISATION THEY CAME TO EARTH AND STARTED LIFE ANEW HERE.
