The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good government.

Not only the citizens of Iran, but also the citizens of each and every country love peace. But it is the Politicians who make problems.

I knew a few Iranians when I was a college student, and for a while I had an Iranian girl as a roommate. The people I knew were good people and I enjoyed very much getting to know them. They were kind and caring and working hard to make a future for themselves. That is, they were serious students, not just there for a party. In fact, I once went with my Iranian boyfriend to a New Year's party (in March), and it was great... a family affair with little children, old people, and all ages in between.

As far as the government's concerned... I don't have a lot of confidence in governments these days. They talk themselves into corners and then feel the need to fight their way out to save face or to get more money and more power. They disregard the desires and in many cases even the basic needs of their own people, and certainly those of the other people of the world. And I'm not just talking about one specific government. Most of them seem to operate that way.

I had an Iranian instructor in one my college classes. He encouraged students to ask him question about Iran, Islam, and any question regarding the middle east. I think he really wanted to clearify any questions regarding the tensions between the USA and the middle east. He was a great instructor and had his own opinions of Iran. Basically, the Iranian government is much different than the millions of people that reside there. The president is a bit nutty and we would be much better off with out him. I don't agree with the conservative Islamic government, I wonder what the residents of Iran think about that topic.

Iranians that like there culture are cool. The ones that for instance listen to American music, paticularly rap and pop are stupid though. The Iranian government now is better than the shah. Atleast you can vote now and have alittle more freedom and money

I have to say that my best friend of going on 10 ears now is Muslim from Iran. She's been here since she was 8, and is now 26. I have no problem with them. You have to see people as people, not as colors and religions. Although I do not agree with the way their government id handled, they obviously don't want someone else coming in and changing everything around. If they wanted our help, they would have asked for it. Ever heard the saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"? Well, America needs to hear it a little more, I think. All that comes from hatred and stereotyping is more hatred, and all that leads to is persecution and death. Everyone should be like me....love people, until they walk on you, then you dislike that person, not the race they come from.

No, I do not. I've met some very nice Iranians. I don't agree with some aspects of their government, but really it's NOT my country so it's NOT my place to judge either.

I love your president! Him and Hugo Chavez are my favourite World leaders because they know what's really going on; have SEEN through the Global Agenda, and aren't afraid of saying so. I'd like to meet them both, shake their hands and thank them for knowing their stuff.
Pay no mind to the ignorant, negative comments some of these racist wankers have been laying on you. The trouble with Americans (I'm Canadian) is that they think the rest of the world should be American too. I know that's a generalization, but they've forgotten what they did to the Native American Indians. That's exactly what they want to do to the Middle East; but you guys are too savvy to let it happen, thank god (or Allah, if you prefer.) I'm on your side!!!!! Your president rocks!!!!!
