I love my wife very much, and I tell her that, but she is always saying I love you, way to much, we have been married 5 great years and I hope we have many more years together. I guess what I am trying to say is that by saying it to much can it lose the affect in a way. Or it might just be me?

Yes, I believe that if it is said too much it's value is diminished. However, I caution you to becareful of what you may wish for. That is, if she were to stop saying it, or hardly at all, you may/will miss it.
I would rather hear it - than not hear it, if it is sincere. Some people just blurt it out to all and that definitely makes those special words mean less.

It shouldn't lose it's effect. Your very lucky your wife loves you so much. Women are pretty vocal about their feelings. How much is too much? If it's every 5 min. you've been married long enough to say "Honey- I love you too but do we have to say it so much?" Say something to her if it's driving you crazy enough. I guess with some guys it may be a turn off, so your the only one who can answer if it's going to lose effect. Let her keep saying it when she wants to, that way when she stops; you can really start to worry.

Definitely. My ex said it all the time. At first it was really sweet, but as the years went on, it became apparent that it was just some kind of pre recorded message just to keep me happy or cover up something he'd done wrong or ...whatever. The meaning wasn't there most of the time. I suppose someone could say it all the time and really, truly mean it from the heart and that would be wonderful I think.

I'd love for a guy to tell me that all the time--but he has to mean it.
Saying it just to say it without any actions is meaningless. You have to think about how you would want to approach her and let her now that she's saying it way too much, that it might diminish the value of it, and just hope that she wont take it the wrong way and never say it ever again.

well how afften dose she say it like every min.? lol well if its that much then yeah its to much. but if you want her to stop saying it alot why dont you tell her? she might get sad if you tell her. but she needs to know. or maybe you dont tell her as much as she wants to hear and thats why she says it alot to give you a hint. but good luck and let me know if you fixed the problem.

I think more important is to show your love ....and to tell it from time to time is a nice bonus and can lift someone up :-)

absolutely not. i am with you on this one. i would love to have someone tell me all the time that they love me, that they're in love with me. it's such a beautiful thing to say and hear. i can tell ya that she'd feel sad if she stopped hearing you say it!! she's lucky you love to tell her that....guys in general can be so bottled up when it comes to sharing feelings.

i think that great. you never know what would happen in life and i would always tell my spouse that i love him before i leave the house you never know what will happen and something would happen to me i would feel comfort that i told him i love him.

but if you just tell her randomly, no
it is always nice to hear i love you but when it is repeatedly being said its irrating

Can you HEAR I love you too much? Never!!!! I don't think I will ever get tired of hearing it.
