I have a Peavey Bandit 112 Solo Series and a Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace 112 Combo.

I got a 40 watt Peavey amp. It is a very good amp. I paid $350 for it about 6 years ago. It still works as well as it did new so I am happy.

If all you do is just play around the house, you definately don't want to get anything bigger than a 40 watt, because they are powerful enough. I know mine is.

Mine is a Fender 212.

My friend has the exact same thing, but he's got some awesome effect pedals, which makes it sound about a thousand times cooler.
