A gay man is a person who finds another man sexually attractive.
As you (i assume) are not a man then this is fairly basic evidence that he is not gay. You are only asking this question because you equate him wanting something put up his rear passage as something that gay men do to each other - but lesbian women go down on each other and use toys on each other - you enjoy this but are not a lesbian - he enjoys you playing with toys on him but is not gay.
You should be happy that you have a man sure enough about his own sexuality and confident enough in his relationship with you that he feels able to open up and ask you to do things that are a little bit 'of stream'.

Everyone is different and what turns one person on may not appeal to another.
