2 things turned me away from the Democratic Party MORE than turning me toward the Republican Party: I got old enough to realize that my youthful idealism, while well-meaning, was naive and that many of the Democratic platform issues were based on that same naivety. And when I joined the military, I lived overseas for many years. During that time, I came to appreciate just how precious a thing our way of life was. I saw how the Democratic policies were consistently trying to tear down many of the things that set us apart from other countries.

When I realized I'd been lobotomized in my sleep, like all Republicans. The f---ing Democrats are too Right - Wing for me, okay? I'm a Libertarian, with strong Socialist leanings.
Democrats, Republicans...they are all just meaningless LABELS. One is as bad as the other, really.
