Biology is the study of life and it involves anything that is about living organisms. also, you can learn about the processes that supports the marvels of life/ how organisms work. Very interesting and lots of hands on to see things working according to theory.

Biology is fascinating, I'm studying it for A-Level now and I'm starting it at university this September!
It is basically the science that looks at living things, whether that be animals, plants or simple one cell organisms. Theres sooo many different topics within biology.
Our A-Level course was split like this:
Unit 1: Biochemistry: Water, DNA, cell division etc.
Unit 2: Plants and animals: Blood, digestion, breathing and reproduction etc.
Unit 3: Energy and Nutrition: Teeth, types of feeding (parasitic, holozoic...), energy transfer, fuels, human influences on the environment, water/carbon/nitrogen cycle etc.
Unit 4: Respiration, Coordination: Much more than the simple glucose + oxygen!, light detection, nerve impulses, water and glucose regulation
Special Study, Exercise Physiology: more on the heart, muscles, breathing etc.
Unit 5: Genetics and Ecology: lots on how information is passed on, genetic engineering, conservation, plant hormones, photosynthesis (advanced).
Unit 6: Synoptic exam, have to know all of above!
Biology is great because you get to do work in the garden, and biochemical experiments in the lab, as well as textbook learning.
You can be tested in projects, practical tests, question exams, 15 mark essays etc.
Hope my list has inspired you!!

Biology is the science of life (from the Greek words bios = life and logos = reasoned account). It is concerned with the characteristics and behaviors of organisms, how species and individuals come into existence, and the interactions they have with each other and with their environment. Biology encompasses a broad spectrum of academic fields that are often viewed as independent disciplines. Together, they study life over a wide range of scales.

it's the study of life so expect it to cover everything that lives and breathes.. including those that you cannot see. it's quite interesting..a little bulky on the memorization part though but generally interesting. (if you'll be taking up medicine though, DO NOT, i repeat.. DO NOT take this as a premed course. med tech is better, trust me)
