The infamous Dutch Coach Guus Hiddink, who's worked magic everywhere he's been. Taking Holland to the semifinals in '98, and once again taking Korea to the semifinals in '02. Can he take Australia to the promised land in '06?

We have to wait and see. In 1998 with Holland he just had a world class team with Bergkamp, van der Sar, Kluivert etc. who only missed the world cup final after penalties against Brazil. In 2002 with South Korea he had good players, the home-advantage and some strange refereeing decissions.

This year with Australia: once again good players, no home advantage, we will have to see about the refereeing, but they are gonna need it in a group with Brazil, Croatia and Japan! But Guus Hiddink is a great coach and he will probably pull something off with this team. Semi-finals seems unlikely though.

Australia is a good team with a good coach they could cause problems to the other teams like Croatia and even Brazil.

Pull of what? Winning the trophy?
No. Semi-finals? I doubt it.

Be satisfied with at least a 2nd round appearance, it's taken 32 years to come here, don't expect too much.

If luck smiles on Ozzie, a quarter-final appearance isn't impossible. But that's the furthest, I expect them to get.

Bit iffy.

He's already pulled off one miracle, that was beating Uruguay, a two-time champion (albeit in the stone age). Not sure the luck can continue.

Nonetheless, there is a lot of hope.

COME ON AUSSIES!!!
