Most vampires are walking dead and cannot contract diseases, since they're already dead.
Living beings that are vampiric in nature can contract disease, but most are very resistant to disease and heal quickly. AIDS I think might finish off some kinds of vampiric beings, as it directly attacks one of their strengths - the immune sysytem.
No, vampires cannot live on synthetics, it's the magic that comes from the life's blood that vampires ( and vampiric beings) survive on. If the blood didn't come from something alive then it has no value.

Uh, yes, a vampire would be infected with the Aids virus if he drank the blood of an Aids infected person.
Their days of only fearing sunlight or a stake through their hearts became a thing of the past when the Aids virus was discovered.
Could they survive on synthetic blood? Only if it's fortified with vitamin D!

No the Vampire will not contract the aids virus however it will cause the vampire to experience a temporary case of EDD (erectile disfunction disorder) and he will not be able to have good sex for about a century or so. Many vampires have tried viagra to solve the problem but it has a side effect that when the vampire tries to turn into a bat, he turns into a teletubby instead, so it's no good.
Now even though the vampire will not contract the aids virus, he can definately pass it on to his next victim. I think thats how Paris Hilton got it....I think.

Vampirers are "undead," which means that they are neither dead nor alive (therefore immortal....supposedly)
The only "proven" way a vampire can cease to exist (die?), is either prolonged exposure to the Sun, and/or a wooden stake thorough the heart (and then beheading).
When they came up with the vampire myth centuries ago, they neglected to concieve of a human decease like the AIDS-causing virus that is HIV.
However, the Cold virus did exist, and scores of other human deceases too, and apparently, none of them had any effect on vampires.
Therefore, HIV won't have any effect on vampires. So the answer is: vampires can't get AIDS.
Besides, "good" vampirers can "smell" or detect any decease a potential victim carries, and choose not to bite that victim.

I'm thinking the vampire would probably carry the virus for a while but I don't think the vampire would get sick, being undead and all. And for those of you who keep saying that only sunlight and a stake through the heart will kill a vampire, you're forgetting about decapitation.

Yes--he would have AIDS but i don't know if it would affect his immune sysem or not. Synthetic blood? If we had synthetic blood, we wouldn't need donors, would we? I don't think it's the same--- He'd probably jones for the real thing-- Kindof like a heroin addict on methadone...

Uh...no. Vampyres and other such creatures cannot become infected by disease because they're not technically in physical body all the time.
The blood isn't a source of life for us; we only use it in order to take a tiny piece of your soul and a slightly bigger piece of your spirit.

i'm pretty sure that they wont get aids. you would have to get their blood into yours. so, the vampire would just digest it and take out the iron they need in their own blood
