Are we funding the war on terror?

Okay I asked who was getting the money for al-Zarqawi and a lot of people said an informant in his group. So, let's say it was one of his people, should we give them the money? What if he sold him out because he needed money to fund his own terrorist organization? Or what if he just needed money for a specific plot in his group? Are we being played (again)?

The U.S is WELL KNOWN to support financially and logistically to the same groups they fight. How did the Al-Qaeda became what it is? This is the SAME GUYS we called back then "The Mujaheddin", and got CIA support and money to fight the X USSR troops. Now they are the enemy. Now you see it Somalia, HISTORY DOES repeat itself, we support now the SAME PEOPLE we considered enemy and fought the U.S troops in '93 remember "Black hawk Down"?

I've wondered the same thing. What if the informant is a terrorist? Then, if we pay them, are we essentially funding terrorist activity? I don't know...

We are indeed being suckerred by them. In my opinion we're getting hosed and we don't see it coming at us. What we need to do is to take care of our own nation instead worrying about some place where the daily drill is bomb, kidnap and kill anyone you can to get a few dollars or whatever their currency is over there.
