Also - exactly what IS time traveling in reality? Do you make a copy of yourself or something and that copy is sent to some identical universe or........??

I have read many books about time traveling being true... also about many times when every single person on a village disappeared all at once for no reason... also about people accidentally slipping back in time in certain places where time was distorted or something...

...creepy...

I don't know if I believe in it or not...but after reading so much on it there seems to be a lot of proof. Seriously!

Please post what you think or your explanations for this....also you can tell me true stories about people time traveling if you know any!

Thanks!

the theories of time travel are extremely complex. it is often mistaken that one can use radiation or electro-magnetics to warp space into an alternate reality. one of the popular theories of time travel is only from a certain point. what I'm saying is that we will not be able to visit this time from the future.

a few theories are;

1: warping the very fabric of space, then accelerating to near the speed of light through the folds. the speed would then turn you body into pure energy, eventually reformulating somewhere in the future. Problems: 1; to warp space fabric would require more energy than it takes to make a black hole. 2; this is my personal theory.

2: do you know how a worm-hole works? if not, ignore this section. but take an opening of a worm-hole and some how place by a point of high gravity (a neutron star). while at the same time directing negative energy at both openings in order to keep them from collapsing into a black hole. time slows down in super-high gravity, therefore if you throw yourself into the opening with no gravity, you'll wind up in the past. and vise-versa. Problems; 1; worm-hole technology is beyond our reach at this time. 2; worm-holes are flickering in and out of existence every infinitely small spec of time, therefore it is difficult to isolate one.

as for what time travel exactly is, i could go one for about three pages.

I'm a nerd.

I believe in the inconceivable, in the infinite potentiality of boundless possibilities.
I suppose it's fair to say the statement above encompasses the realm of time travel.
As for the actual act of time travelling,'what exactly it is' remains entirely subject to subjectivity itself. You'd have to ask someone who's done it, and recalls the event. Something so unknown, unconfirmed, and questionable can hardly be defined by those who haven't actually experienced or at the very least witnessed it.
I've encountered all sorts of peculiar individuals over the course of my life, alien worshippers to the 'undead', I have yet to encounter a time traveller. Nevertheless, my mind is remains both open and patient.

Time travel is happening all around you all the time, if you are moving then time is slowing down for you relative to a stationary object. the only problem is it is happening in a far too small amount to measure. the best experiment that can be done to prove this is to synchronize two highly accurate atomic clocks and place one of them in a high speed jet and fly the jet for a decent amount of time. then compare the two clocks after wards. They will show the two clocks are no longer synchronised

I do believe it is possible that in the next 10-20 years that time travel will be possible.

I just watched donnie darko so all my thoughts on time travel are revolving around tangent universes and the theory of time travel

Physically traveling backwards in time is impossible......

But it sure makes for some great Science Fiction stories :-)
