Music is always in and out of cycles... One minute Rock is King or Boy band pop or as it is right now Rap is on top. Every 10 to 15 years each genre has it's time in the sun. What happens is a popular act or group sets the trend and everyone else mimics these people. Well that becomes very boring...

When that happends something innovative and new pops up somewhere else and gains everyone's attention. Nirvana in the early 90's and Gangsta rap in the last 90's for instance. What you what to wonder is what is the next "thing" and where or who is it coming from?

I know I am sick of rap the more rap music that they come out with the less you can understand what they are saying so why bother and then most of it is offensive

I am sick of the rap that says women have to look like bubble but barbie, you have to be richer than Bill Gates or your nothing or I just killed another person common let's celebrate or I am going to explicitly describe sex acts and call women bi***** and H*** because I get off on treating people like welcome matts I challenge rappers to do a song that uplifts the female and male in a positive light and shows a video of uplifting downtrodden women and all thoes babies you created doinking have the population on your rap tours.

Rap music has its place, but unfortunately the people who both perform and produce rap music have turned it into a destructive, negative force in society. All we hear about in rap music is death, violence and degredation of women. There seems to be no joyous or positive aspects in rap music. I don't listen to it anymore.

I AM!!! I get so sick of hearing that junk all the time. It's all anyone listens to anymore. I personally love rock and alt. rock. I have a saying: Country + Rap = Crap!

Saying, that you dont like rap is like saying you dont like blues, and if you dont like blues then you dont like musi. There are so many different genres of music out there today that no one can listen to them all and appreciate their beauty and art. Anyone that says one type of musi is crap or it sucks might as well say that it all sucks. Yeah alot of rappers are degrating our society, but alot are uplifting to some people. Just think if you grew up in a run down part of town where all you saw were prostitutes and drugs and murder, what would be on your mind everyday. A lot of people grow up like that now, and some of them just have a gift with their words. Its as simple as this, if you dont like it, dont listen. That simple.

I used to feel that way, but you know what, I think it's here to stay, hahahaha. There are a lot of rappers out there that are spreadin the hate, but then there are some that I think truly have talent. I don't listen to it on a regular basis, but I have learned to appreciate it in the way I appreciate all art forms. Just because I don't care for it doesn't mean it's horrible. I do not like it forced on me, like when I pull up to a stoplight and the moron behind me has the base booming in his car so loudly that it shakes my windows. Not cool!
