Why? I just cannot understand this obsession....life has so much more to offer than caring about this unimportant garbage....

They probably just feel like their lives are too mundane and try to live vicariously through what they view as the exciting and glamorous lives of the celebrities that they obsess over endlessly. I know a person that is all caught up with celebrities but they don't want to admit it because I think they realize how shallow and pointless it is to worry about celebrities lives. The thing I hate the worst is all these abbreviations of celebrity couples, like Brangelina and Benifer. Just say their freaking names for crying out loud.

Well to be honest, I'm so not obsessed with anyone celebrity. I like a handful of them. I do. And if something should happen to them I'd be sad. Depending on who I might tear up. However, I have too much going on in my life to obsess over them or anyone else.
I think that the people who are obsessed got real issues! But who am I to judge them. I just live and let live. Ain't my problem. But I can totally understand your question. I sometimes wonder why people get all hysterical, but that's it I just wonder.

I totally agree with you. Get on with your own life than read and look at others, you 'obsessed people'.

For some people, it is mostly about envy. They're the beautiful people. They have enormous sums of money, large houses, you name it, they've got it. The life of your average celeb plays out like a soap opera.. intriguing, suspenseful, shocking, etc.. It's a way to break away from one's mundane life just for a moment to be like, "oh no she dinn ent!"

in hollywood,everything is a fad. i watched this show and they said quote "having babies in hollywood today is the new fad" it is quite annoying to us and more to the person i mean really! they can't stop publicizing them and judging their parenting...it most likely for them is uncomfortable..i think they need room so they can take care of their kid and not have everyone saying like. today "bradgillina" or whatever drank a bottle of milk! who gives a darn

Some people like to immerse themselves in the lives of others. It takes them away from their own pathetic, miserable lives. These people are always in our faces, so some can't seem to stay away.

because people always want to know how someone else is doing. wether its really good or really bad. plus when your in the lime lighr your asking for people to stick their nose in your business.
