Satan has blocked my ability to comprehend the word sin, as he has made me believe that Christianity is a fallacy and there is no such thing as "sin."

Welp, in my opinion some use it as both. As a tool they can wheesle (sp?) their way out of something that they've done wrong and some are so good at their lies it's almost an art....
Lying seems like a pointless thing...cause in most cases...you're only fooling yourself which in turns makes you the fool or you get caught in your own lie because you've forgotten what your lame story was that you lied about in the first place! The truth always wins whether good or bad....it's the right way to go!

It's naughty to lie, your mummy should've taught you that when you were little, however if you're planning a surprise and you have to tell a little lie, but the truth comes out in the end then that's alright, if someone asks for their opinion on clothes and whether they look fat, if they do look fat you say yes, because someone they don't know well might tell them they look fat and then they'll get upset because their friend lied and said they looked OK. You see, so it's better to be truthful isn't it? You be a good lad now :)

Lying is occasionally a necessity, would you lie to protect someones feelings? However liars always get found out, (if they do it in a bad way). Think about this: Karma, what goes around comes around etc etc, I know this does really happen! So be careful.
